Abstract

Relevance of the study: The relevance of the study is due to the fact that during armed conflicts, cultural heritage is threatened with destruction, which makes digital technologies a necessary tool for its preservation and protection. Purpose of the study: Analysis of the possibilities of using digital technologies in the preservation of cultural heritage during armed conflicts, taking into account the technical, socio-cultural and ethical aspects of their effectiveness. The research methodology: Methods of systematic, descriptive and comparative analysis are used to assess different approaches to digital preservation. Scientific novelty: The scientific novelty lies in the systematization of experience in the use of digital technologies for the preservation of cultural heritage during armed conflicts, the development of adapted methods for rapid response to threats, and the identification of key gaps in existing tools. The need to develop specialized training methodologies for specialists working in this field has been substantiated. Practical recommendations are proposed for establishing effective inter-institutional cooperation between state bodies, international organizations and volunteer initiatives, and a detailed method of step-by-step response for collecting information on the state of cultural heritage sites from the local population has been developed. An integrative concept of heritage preservation has been formulated, which envisages the combination of different technological approaches to implement an effective national heritage preservation strategy. The findings of the study confirm the critical importance of digital technologies for the protection of cultural values, emphasizing the need for their timely documentation, reliable storage and restoration in case of damage. The effectiveness of the use of digital technologies depends on adaptation to specific conditions and active interaction of stakeholders. The conclusions of the study confirm the critical importance of digital technologies for the protection of cultural values, emphasizing the need for their timely documentation, reliable storage and restoration in case of damage. The effectiveness of the use of digital technologies depends on adaptation to specific conditions and active interaction of stakeholders.
