MODEL OF PROVIDING PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT TO WOMEN VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY PUBLIC AND CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

The article presents a model of providing psychosocial support to women victims of domestic violence by public and charitable organizations, characterizes its main components (client-oriented component; content-technological component; organizational-professional component), and provides practical implementation results. Each component represents its content, which describes its fullness, complexity, and quality. For each separate component, the specialist can offer a high-quality algorithm for social services to persons affected by domestic violence. From the moment of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the problem of violence has become a present-day problem that many public and charitable organizations have to deal with. To carry out high-quality work in the field of prevention of various forms of violence, relevant organizations must have their own proven mechanism that will help ensure all necessary components within the scope of their activities. Since public and charitable organizations have become fullfledged providers of social services, they can be the ones who will implement a new mechanism for working with women affected by domestic violence. In general, the proposed model can serve as a tool for implementing issues of protection of victims from domestic violence and gender-based violence, including the protection of women. The proposed model allows to take into account various aspects that contribute to the provision of quality social services, protect the interests of women, and will enable the application of innovations in work methods, thereby providing state authorities with part of the work with such groups of clients, at the same time it is effective and promising in the field of social work with women victims of domestic violence.
