ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH WORK: EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE

Abstract

Carrying out the initiated reforms in Ukraine and fulfilling the international requirements of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of youth policy is an important stage in the formation and development of youth work. The role of youth, youth work, recognition of youth workers in youth policy at all levels of the state is a big step in the development of a future strong European country. The article considers the formation and development of youth work in 13 countries of the European Union (Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Finland, France, Czech Republic); normative-legal documents, acts regulating youth policy and youth work are studied; forms of work with youth, events organized for young people and aspects of training of youth workers in EU countries are covered. The purpose of the study is to analyze the peculiarities of the formation and development of youth work in the countries of the European Union. To achieve goal of the study a set of general scientific methods were used: analysis of scientific publications to outline the essence of the problem of formation and development of youth work in the EU; analysis, synthesis – to highlight the features of the development of youth work in the EU; systematization and generalization of problems of formation and development of youth work in different EU countries to formulate conclusions based on the results of the study. Research results: formation and development of youth work in the countries of the European Union have different levels; each country is special, has its own customs, traditions, history of youth work, legal framework, development strategies, programs for training youth work specialists – youth workers.
