The fundamental components of psychological endurance – stress resilience, adaptability, volitional regulation, and self-reflection – enable reconnaissance officers to sustain high levels of operational efficiency in challenging and high-stress environments. Metacognitive monitoring, as a process of awareness and regulation of cognitive functions, aids military personnel not only in evaluating their readiness to execute tasks but also in effectively adapting their strategies under conditions of combat stress. Particular attention is given to the mechanisms of metacognitive monitoring that mitigate cognitive distortions, such as overconfidence or excessive doubt, both of which are critical in making wellinformed decisions. The development of metacognitive skills may be facilitated through the integration of psychological training, simulation exercises, mentoring programmes, and advanced technologies such as virtual reality and biofeedback. Contemporary technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence, can significantly enhance the effectiveness of metacognitive monitoring by personalising training programmes and refining the processes of cognitive strategy assessment and adjustment. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of cultivating cognitive strategies, including self-regulation and self-reflection, to bolster stress resilience and adaptability to dynamic combat conditions. A high level of metacognitive monitoring enables reconnaissance officers to respond swiftly to emerging challenges, thereby ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of decision-making in complex operational scenarios. Methods for enhancing psychological endurance – such as physical training, cognitive skills development, and the application of feedback technologies – contribute to the comprehensive psychological preparedness of military personnel for undertaking critical tasks in combat situations. The findings of the study highlight the pivotal role of metacognitive monitoring in strengthening the psychological endurance of reconnaissance officers and identify prospective directions for further research.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2378PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF THE IMPACT OF COUNSELING ON BEHAVIORAL AND THINKING CHANGES IN CLIENTS2025-06-24T08:44:05+03:00Iryna Hrytsiuksomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article deals with the psychophysiological aspects of the impact of counselling and psychotherapeutic activities on changing the behaviour and thinking of clients. The mechanisms of neuropsychological and cognitive changes that occur in the process of counselling are analysed, in particular the role of emotional regulation, neuroplasticity and psychophysiological reactions to communication with a counsellor. The purpose of the article is to identify the main factors that contribute to the effective impact of counselling interaction on the correction of behavioural patterns and the transformation of clients’ thinking. To analyse theoretical approaches to the modern understanding of brain functioning. The importance of nonverbal signals, tone of voice and communication style in creating a therapeutic alliance is explored. Practical recommendations for improving the effectiveness of counselling and psychotherapy activities, taking into account the psychophysiological characteristics of clients, are presented. The role of emotional regulation and its impact on changes in behavioural patterns, as well as the importance of psychophysiological reactions of the body (heart rate variability, cortisol levels, activation of certain brain structures) in the process of counselling are investigated. It is determined how non-verbal communication, tone of voice, speech speed and style of counselling influence the formation of trust between the counsellor and the client, as well as the effectiveness of awareness and learning of new behavioural strategies. The article also analyses cognitive distortions that can interfere with clients’ decision-making and change of mindset. The methods and techniques that help to correct ineffective attitudes and beliefs and promote the formation of adaptive behavioural patterns are outlined.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2379METHODOGICAL PROBLEMS OF STUDYING DEVIANT BEHAVIOR OF ADOLESCENTS2025-06-24T08:48:42+03:00Nataliia Gurtovenkosomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
Scientists are faced with the question of human nature and its integrity. However, when analyzing various approaches to understanding and studying the phenomenon of “man”, we cannot say that today there is any universal theory that allows us to build the research itself objectively enough. Our current understanding of human nature and emotions lags far behind modern physical knowledge. Firstly, research aimed at understanding the causes of deviations (defects) is not yet deep enough compared to research in the physical world. Secondly, the evolution of the organization of the human community changes its properties (including the human psyche) faster, especially in the XX–XXI centuries, than scientists, especially psychologists, have time to study such changes. The problem of deviations from the norm, which are increasingly manifested in humans, is becoming a top priority in psychology, sociology, anthropology, and pedagogy. Based on the continuous increase in the number of social deviations around the world, some scientists have developed the idea that the general cause of such deviations is the progress of the human community. Of course, this idea is not new. We can agree that social disorganization is present in social development and has a significant impact on the emergence of deviant behavior, especially in adolescence. However, the very concept of «social change» and its possible impact on the formation of the individual’s psyche remains unexplored. The history of human society is the history of the development of science, technology, culture, art, ethics, and, to a greater extent, the history of human development as a person. Man changes the appearance of the planet, the planet’s ecology, and his mental organization. Over the past two centuries, science has accumulated sufficient material to demonstrate that the quality of such psychological and genetic programs is changing very rapidly from generation to generation.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2380PECULIARITIES OF VERBAL BEHAVIOR DEVELOPMENT IN MODERN CONDITIONS: THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS2025-06-24T09:11:05+03:00Olena Dysasomikova.helvetica@gmail.comArtem Chumaksomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article provides a theoretical analysis of verbal behavior as a psychological and sociocultural phenomenon. The role of speech in linguistic identification, self-realization, and the harmonization of interpersonal relationships is examined. Various scientific perspectives on verbal behavior highlight its multi-component structure, encompassing both external and internal aspects. The affective component of verbal behavior intensifies during significant or crisis events in an individual's life, which may lead to long-term negative consequences for mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. Under such conditions, transformations in verbal behavior occur, often resulting in deviations from linguistic norms. Particular attention is given to the psychological factors contributing to the disruption of speech normativity during martial law. The article explores the neuropsychological aspects of using obscene vocabulary, noting its increasing prevalence in everyday communication. This trend facilitates the reproduction of undesirable speech patterns among children, who may not fully comprehend the meanings of obscene expressions. The study argues that early adolescence is a critical period for the development of verbal behavior, the formation of communicative skills, and the establishment of stable speech patterns, all of which influence future communication styles. Therefore, fostering constructive forms of verbal behavior is essential for linguistic self-identification, the development of communicative culture, successful socialization, and the prevention of non-normative vocabulary consolidation in adolescents' speech habits. The results of a pilot study strongly indicate the necessity of proactive psychoprophylactic interventions aimed at normalizing adolescents' communication skills, as verbal behavior at this stage remains under adult supervision, non-normative vocabulary has not yet become habitual, and its usage is primarily situational, often occurring in emotionally stressful contexts.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2381METHODOLOGICAL FEATURES OF STUDYING THE LEVEL AND COMPONENTS OF SELF-ACTUALIZATION AMONG MARKETING EMPLOYEES2025-06-24T09:28:16+03:00Anastasiia Zadorozhnasomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article proposes a comprehensive approach to the study of self-actualisation of the marketer’s personality and its structural components empirically. It considers the importance of self-actualisation in the process of development of a personality and its formation as a professional. The main components that contribute to the formation of self-actualisation of personality are defined. A number of properties that are significant for a modern marketer are outlined, taking into account the destructive consequences of the crises of recent decades and the challenges associated with the transformation of the marketing sphere. It is determined that special attention in the requirements for a modern specialist is paid to such traits as stress resistance, a high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to quickly adapt to conditions of instability. According to the results of the analysis of scientific research on the problem of self-actualisation of personality in psychological science, the choice of psychodiagnostic methods that allow empirical study of the level and structural components of self-actualisation of a marketer’s personality is substantiated and formed. The main tools for determining the level of self-actualisation, formation of the motivational and value component, the level of development of creative and analytical thinking, emotional intelligence, features of the communicative potential of a professional, level of emotional stability and coping strategies, nature and features of the professional orientation of a marketer are defined. On the basis of studying the theoretical and methodological provisions, a comprehensive model of empirical research on the level and psychological components of self-actualisation of the marketer’s personality has been formed. The proposed model serves as a basis for conducting an empirical study with further development of recommendations to ensure the self-actualisation of marketing employees, their professional growth and psychological well-being.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2382PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE ABILITIES IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS2025-06-24T09:34:06+03:00Natalia Koshelevasomikova.helvetica@gmail.comStefaniia Kalinichenkosomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article presents a solution to an important psychological and pedagogical task concerning the development of creative abilities in high school students. It is determined that the creative potential of young individuals ensures their personal adaptability, success, and psychological balance in today’s rapidly changing world. The psychological essence of the phenomenon of “creativity” is analyzed as a mental process that allows generating new ideas or products that go beyond existing boundaries. It is established that creative abilities enable individuals to effectively solve problems in both life and professional activities. The study identifies the key psychological characteristics of creative high school students, which include spontaneity, harmony, creativity, creative thinking, high cognitive activity, developed imagination, flexible thinking, and a resourceful emotional state. It is concluded that teachers and school psychologists should comprehensively support the development of students’ creative abilities by applying innovative teaching technologies, encouraging the generation of original ideas in lessons, modeling real-life situations, using role-playing games, creativity development training, brainstorming techniques, and exercises aimed at developing imagination and creativity. A hypothesis is formulated that the development of creative abilities in high school students contributes to an increase in their cognitive activity and an improvement in their emotional state. To verify this, an empirical study was conducted using a modified version of S. Mednick’s test «Your Creative Potential», the Wessman-Ricks self-assessment method for emotional state, and B. Pashnev’s “Study of Students’ Cognitive Activity Level” test. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the results is provided. Using correlation analysis, statistically significant direct correlations were found between creative potential and cognitive activity, as well as between creative potential and students’ emotional state, confirming our hypothesis. Finally, a training program for developing creative abilities in high school students is proposed, which can be used by school psychologists.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2383PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF REHABILITATION MILITARY SERVICEMEN DURING THE TRANSITION TO CIVILIAN LIFE: CHALLENGES AND ADAPTATION STRATEGIES2025-06-24T09:42:31+03:00Lyudmila Magdysyuksomikova.helvetica@gmail.comMaria Zamelіuksomikova.helvetica@gmail.comOksana Soykosomikova.helvetica@gmail.comIvanna Zamelіuksomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article considers the current problem of rehabilitation of military personnel during the transition to civilian life. The main methods of psychological assistance in the rehabilitation of military personnel are described (cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive trauma therapy, exposure therapy), and a structured approach to multimodal rehabilitation is presented. The key stages of intervention are highlighted, the challenges of modern practice are summarized, and recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of psychological support programs for military personnel are outlined. The main models and approaches to organizing psychological assistance to military personnel are considered. Each of them has its own goal, methods and implementation format, but all are aimed at reducing the psychotraumatic consequences of service and restoring the individual's resources. Each of the listed models has its own scope and indications. The highest efficiency is demonstrated by the integration of several approaches, taking into account the context of service, the individual needs of the serviceman and the resources of the support system. It is described that the «community–family–military unit» model allows building a multidisciplinary support network, where each of the three levels complements the interventions of the others. The process of adaptation of servicemen to civilian life after service in military units is extremely complex and multifaceted. Military service often involves specific experiences that form personal characteristics, social ties and psychological state. Return to civilian life requires significant efforts from former military personnel to restore psychological balance, overcome stress and adapt to new social, economic and cultural realities.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2384FEATURES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING OF CLIENTS OF DIFFERENT CATEGORIES2025-06-24T10:10:33+03:00Lyudmila Magdysyuksomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article presents a theoretical analysis of psychological counseling of clients of various categories, the purpose of which is to provide psychological help, that is, a conversation with a psychologist should help a person solve his problems and establish interpersonal relationships with others. It has been proven that the family situation, satisfaction with married life also affect the presence of a person’s suicidal threat. It is described that suicidal behavior is a volitional act, the structure of which includes suicidal thoughts, plans, intentions, parasuicide, completed suicide. Suicidal behavior is a dynamic process and consists of the following stages: stage of suicidal tendencies, stage of suicidal actions, stage of post-suicidal crisis. The results of the diagnostic method made it possible to determine the indicators of the tendency to suicidal behavior, high scores were found in seven subjects, which proves the tendency of the respondents to suicidal behavior. Such persons are recommended to contact specialists. The purpose of psychological counseling always depends on the needs of the client and the theoretical orientation of the counselor. Areas of application of psychological counseling: mental and spiritual development of the child; existential and personal problems of a teenager; marriage, family and family; issues of mental and personal health; psychological assistance to the dying and psychotherapy of irreparable distress; problems of old age; prisons, hospitals, barracks, student campuses; psychological help and support in crisis situations; school counseling; professional counseling; management consulting. A theoretical analysis of the nature of social fears, their classification, and main manifestations is conducted, as well as the relationship between anxiety and fear is highlighted. It is described that anxiety is an emotional state accompanied by the expectation of possible negative events, feelings of tension, fear, and excitement, and worry is a stable psychological characteristic that reflects a person's tendency to frequent and strong experiences of anxiety even in ordinary circumstances. The main difference between fear and anxiety is that fear is associated with a specific threat, while anxiety is associated with uncertainty and lack of clear direction. Special attention is given to psychological approaches to overcoming social fears, including psychocorrection methods, self-esteem development, communication skills training, and self-control techniques. The study is based on the works of classical and contemporary scholars, allowing for a comprehensive examination of the problem and the proposal of effective ways to harmonize an individual’s psycho-emotional state. Three types of anxiety are described and distinguished depending on its source (according to Z. Freud): realistic anxiety, neurotic anxiety, moral anxiety. There are several types of anxiety: personal anxiety, situational anxiety, overt anxiety, and covert anxiety. It has been proven that social fears can interfere with self-realization and interaction with others. To overcome them, it is necessary to work on self-esteem, communication skills, and acceptance of one's own capabilities and limitations. An important aspect of overcoming such fears is understanding their causes and applying effective psychological correction methods, psychotechnologies, and various techniques.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2386PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT OF SPECIALIZED TRAINING IN WARTIME CONDITIONS: GENDER ASPECT2025-06-24T10:27:19+03:00Yuliia Maersomikova.helvetica@gmail.comNadiia Shuliuksomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article is devoted to the analysis of psychological support for specialized education in wartime conditions. The influence of stress factors on the psycho-emotional state of students is considered, and the main approaches to providing psychological support are also highlighted. In conditions of martial law, the need to develop and implement effective mechanisms for psychological support for students is growing, as well as to create favorable conditions for their professional self-determination in general education institutions. In this context, the concept of psychological resilience proposed by S. Maddy is considered, which is based on three key aspects of adaptation to crisis situations: control, involvement and challenge. Statistical data are presented, reflecting the scale of negative psychological consequences among children and adolescents in Ukraine. Special attention is paid to practical methods of strengthening emotional resilience, in particular, the use of art therapy and body-oriented therapy as effective tools of psychological assistance. The methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science “On the activities of the service in the education system in the 2022/2023 academic year” are analyzed. Examples of the use of digital technologies, in particular mobile applications, are given. The use of technologies in a specialized school can help reduce the level of emotional exhaustion of students, improve the quality of their sleep, and increase the level of psychological well-being. The study “Sexual differentiation of neural mechanisms of stress sensitivity during puberty” is analyzed. Special attention is paid to gender differences in experiencing crisis situations and their impact on adaptation to the educational process. The article notes that well-being is a concept that reflects a person’s subjective attitude to their own personality, life and its inherent processes, to their needs and their fulfilment, determined by socially accepted and learned norms, and expressed by the level of satisfaction. Many studies point out that satisfaction in various spheres of life: material well-being, satisfaction with oneself, work, relationships with others, etc. is an important indicator of subjective well-being. Despite a huge number of scientific works on this topic, scientists have not yet reached a consensus on the interpretation of the essence of well-being, and despite the diversity of views, two fundamental directions remain unchanged: hedonistic and eudemonic, which trace their roots back to antiquity. The idea of combining both approaches is currently popular, as it is believed that they should complement each other. Researchers are increasingly proposing to consider well-being as a single holistic phenomenon, focusing on its individual aspects rather than on the distinction between the two concepts, as this approach contributes to a deeper and more effective analysis of this phenomenon. There are still intense discussions among scientists about the correlation between the terms psychological and subjective well-being. K. Riffe and E. Diener argued that subjective well-being is a component of psychological well-being, while other authors (A. Salehinejad), on the contrary, define psychological well-being as an element of subjective well-being. In some studies and publications, these concepts are interpreted as synonymous (N. Bradburn et al.) The well-being of women requires particular attention, as they often face more pressure due to their traditional social roles as mothers, wives, employees and caregivers. This is often accompanied by the need to balance a career with family responsibilities, which can lead to emotional burnout and anxiety. Preserving the well-being of mothers is important not only for women themselves, but also for the well-being of their families and the upbringing of the next generation.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2388PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAINING AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS2025-06-24T10:51:00+03:00Nataliia Priadkosomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
This paper delves into a theoretical examination alongside empirical investigation focused on the cultivation of emotional intelligence (EI), viewing it as a key element in personal maturation, achievable through structured training. The core objective here is to scrutinize training programs, integrated into the curriculum of a higher education institution, and their efficacy in fostering students’ EI. Emphasis is placed on the distinctive traits of EI expression and its significance within the process of personality formation. A paramount focus is placed upon addressing the psychological and pedagogical hurdles in augmenting the personal and professional evolution of students in higher education. To facilitate the enhancement of EI, a specific psychological training initiative, dubbed “Emotional Intelligence: The Pathway to Balance and Achievement,” was created and subsequently implemented. The procedural methodology employed in task creation and execution is detailed. The study engaged a total of 81 students, spanning the 3rd to 5th years of their academic journey. To evaluate the training’s effectiveness in promoting EI development, two assessment tools were utilized: the “Emotional Intelligence Diagnostic (N. Hall)” and the “Emotional Response Scale” as formulated by A. Mehrabian. The presentation encompasses both numerical and qualitative data reflecting the varying levels of EI component demonstration and the emotional response levels displayed by the participating adolescents before and after undergoing the sociopsychological training. It’s highlighted that the mechanism of reflection underpins the observed personality shifts. A sample socio-psychological training program is presented, specifically designed to elevate the students’ level of EI components, integrating the participants into group integration activities and engagements with their broader environments. The most impactful strategies deployed in the development of EI incorporated fundamental socio-psychological training techniques such as group dialogues, role-playing exercises, and art therapy, enabling the observation of beneficial, qualitative alterations within the students’ value systems, reflection capabilities, and their overall personal growth trajectories.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2389EMOTIONAL COMPETENCE AS A PREDICTOR PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING: RESULTS OF EMPIRICAL RESEARCH2025-06-24T10:55:09+03:00Alisa Rybkosomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article highlights the role of socio-emotional competence (SEC) as a key factor that contributes to the adaptation of businessmen to a high level of uncertainty, stress and crisis situations in extreme conditions of domestic entrepreneurship during the war. It is also emphasized that the resilience and psychological well-being of businessmen ensure their effective activities, further development of the enterprise and the restoration of the country’s economy. The main components of socio-emotional competence are identified: self-awareness of the individual, empathy, self-regulation of emotions, effective interpersonal relationships, responsible decisionmaking in conditions of uncertainty and risk. The purpose of the study was to conduct an empirical analysis of the problem of the influence of socio-emotional competence on the psychological well-being of the individual and to empirically test the hypothesis regarding socio-emotional competence as a predictor of the psychological well-being of the individual using the example of domestic businessmen. The empirical research methods were the questionnaire “Socio-emotional competence (SEC)” by A.O. Shashenkova; the methodology for determining the psychological well-being (PB) of the individual by S.M. Zabarovska. The analysis of empirical data showed a clear differentiation in the profiles of socio-emotional competence and psychological well-being of respondents depending on the level of involvement in the business environment and the complexity of management functions: the highest indicators were shown by managers of large businesses; sole proprietors are characterized by less stable indicators both in the field of emotional regulation and in the context of psychological well-being; owners of LLC business organizations demonstrated moderate indicators, being between the extreme poles, which indicates a flexible, but not always consistent style of their self-management and social interaction. The results of the study empirically confirm that socio-emotional competence is an important psychosocial construct, as well as a predictor of an individual’s psychological well-being in the field of business and entrepreneurship.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2390EMOTIONAL INSECURITY AND TRUST: THE CONSEQUENCES OF CHILDHOOD TRAUMA IN ADULT RELATIONSHIPS2025-06-24T11:08:34+03:00Ruslana Tkachuksomikova.helvetica@gmail.comZoreslava Kryzhanovskasomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
This article provides a theoretical analysis of the problem of trust in close relationships. The article notes that emotional intimacy is one of the most important elements that determine the quality and depth of a couple’s relationship. It serves as the basis for building trust, which, in turn, is a key component in a stable and satisfactory relationship. Trust is defined as an expectation of reliability, openness, and honesty on the part of another person based on previous experience of interaction, individual beliefs, and values. Studies of the psychological aspects of trust show that it is a dynamic process that depends on the context and experience of interaction. It is formed through positive shared experiences, mutual support, honest communication, and willingness to compromise. The analysis of recent psychological research has made it possible to clarify the importance of trust in interpersonal relationships, especially in the context of emotional closeness and physical intimacy of partners. Childhood traumatic experiences have a significant impact on the ability to build trust in adult relationships. Early experiences of emotional insecurity, neglect, physical or psychological abuse can leave deep traces that manifest themselves in difficulties in building healthy and stable adult relationships. One of the key consequences of childhood trauma is the formation of negative attachment patterns. According to John Bowlby’s attachment theory, children who grow up in an unstable or unsafe environment develop an anxious or avoidant attachment style. These styles are accompanied by distrust of others, fear of rejection, or avoidance of intimacy, which becomes a significant obstacle to the formation of open and trusting relationships in a couple. Restoring trust after it has been broken is a complex process that requires both partners’ willingness to work on the relationship, an open apology. Overall, current research confirms that trust is a key element in forming and maintaining healthy and satisfying interpersonal relationships.
2025-03-28T00:00:00+02:00Copyright (c) 2025 http://www.journals.vnu.volyn.ua/index.php/psychology/article/view/2391СHARACTERISTICS CONFIDENCE IN CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS OF ADULTS2025-06-24T11:15:21+03:00Tatyana Turishynsomikova.helvetica@gmail.comZoreslava Kryzhanovskasomikova.helvetica@gmail.com
The article examines the theoretical aspects of the manifestation of trust and mistrust in interpersonal relationships. The authors emphasize that from the first year of a child’s life, a parameter of social interaction is formed, where the positive pole is trust, and the negative pole is mistrust. This process is the foundation for the further socialization of the individual. Researchers also note that trust encompasses both behavioral and mental activity of a person, influencing his interaction with the environment. In the context of close relationships, trust plays a key role in establishing deep emotional connections and mutual understanding between partners. Mistrust, on the contrary, can lead to tension and conflicts, undermining the foundation of relationships. Therefore, understanding the mechanisms of formation and manifestation of trust is important for maintaining healthy and harmonious relationships. The subject of the study is the peculiarities of the manifestation of trust and distrust in close relationships, their influencing factors, formation mechanisms and consequences for interpersonal interaction. Trust is a fundamental component of interpersonal relationships, especially in the context of close relationships. It determines the quality of interaction between partners, affects the emotional well-being and stability of relationships. Mistrust, in turn, can become a source of conflicts, emotional tension and even a break in communication. This article examines theoretical approaches to the study of trust and distrust, their main manifestations and influencing factors. Trust in psychology is defined as a belief in the reliability, honesty and benevolence of a partner. It is formed on the basis of past experience, shared values and the ability to open communication.
