FEATURES OF PROVIDING SOCIAL ADAPTATION SERVICES FOR WAR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS IN TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES

The article is devoted to a topical topic – support for war veterans and their family members. The purpose of the study is to analyze the features of providing social adaptation services for war veterans and their family members at the regional level. To solve the goal, the main tasks are set: to identify the needs and problems of war veterans; to analyze the regulatory framework that regulates the process of providing social adaptation services for war veterans and their family members; stages and features of providing services at the level of territorial communities. The article substantiates the problem of adaptation of war veterans due to military experience; reveals the purpose and stages of providing services; investigates the effectiveness of providing support for war veterans and their family members at the community level; raises the issue of the role of local communities in ensuring conditions for the successful reintegration of war veterans. It was emphasized that the main goal of providing the service is to integrate combatants into peaceful life through the development of individual adaptation plans that take into account their physical, psychological and social needs. The study takes into account the work of scientists on this problem, is based on the regulatory framework for supporting veterans and their family members, an analysis of the activities of territorial communities of Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Poltava regions, and provides examples of the implementation of the service in these communities. The article emphasizes that the introduction of the position of veteran assistant at the state level contributes to the successful implementation of social adaptation services for war veterans and their family members in territorial communities.
