LEGAL ACTS IN THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF SOCIAL WORKERS

Abstract

The article addresses the formation of the legal component in the professional training of higher education students specializing in socio-economic fields. The purpose of the article is to highlight the relevance and importance of understanding regulatory and legal acts for successful practical work in the field of social protection, as well as to identify the key mechanisms for finding and applying legal documents in mastering educational content, writing academic papers, and carrying out professional activities.The relevance of the issue stems from the specific nature of the social worker’s practical activity in the area of social protection, which is based on clearly defined regulations, standards, and procedures enshrined in relevant legal acts.An analysis of the State Social Standards for the “Social Work” and “Social Welfare” bachelor’s degree programs revealed that a significant portion of the required competencies are grounded in legal knowledge.The article emphasizes the importance of structuring the educational process in such a way that students not only acquire legal knowledge on various aspects of social protection, but also develop the skills to independently search for legal information, track changes in the legal framework of social protection, and use this knowledge to analyze and forecast the development of social policy.A classification of regulatory legal acts in the field of social protection is proposed. The main groups of publishers of such acts are identified. The article also reviews publicly accessible online sources containing socially oriented legal documents, including electronic resources from official publications, legal literature libraries, and platforms offering legal consultations.The importance of mastering the algorithm for searching legal acts and applying current legal documents in addressing professional challenges in the social protection field is highlighted.
