PUBLIC SPEAKING IN THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING SYSTEM OF TEACHER OF THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical and practical foundations of the public speech of the teacher- linguist, in particular, the consideration of the basics of the art of eloquence, the methodology of preparation for public speaking, the culture and imagery of oratorical speech.The educational discipline “Public Speaking” aims to form the rhetorical competence of students of higher education, to develop them as public figures who master the art of eloquence. The main tasks of studying the discipline are familiarization with the practical methods of organizing effective public broadcasting and the possibilities of their appropriate application; formation of skills and development of the skills of writing texts of performances of various genres in accordance with the communicative situation; fostering the need to improve one’s own monologic and dialogic speech.The purpose of our article is to analyze the problems of public speaking of a lexicographer in the context of his training in accordance with the educational program “Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature)”, specialty A 4 “Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature)”.To solve the tasks, the following research methods were used in the work process: theoretical: analysis and synthesis during the study of linguistic, psychological, pedagogical and methodical literature on the researched problem; empirical: conduct and analysis of classes in the specified discipline. Rhetorical skill is an important condition for the professional growth of a philologist. In today’s globalized space, a teacher-linguist must quickly choose the appropriate form of speech, perceive different levels of information, conduct dialogues, operate the speech communication system in the pedagogical process.
