PEDAGOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF GAME ACTIVITY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Abstract

The article explores the possibilities and features of using didactic games in the development of preschool children. It is determined that didactic games are characterized by the fact that they contain a ready-made game plan, contain a game situation in which the child finds himself. For the successful implementation of the game plan, the presence of game material is important, which encourages the child to play. Didactic game, in its meaning, contains two meanings: educational and gaming. It is established that the main goal of didactic games is the child's repeated reproduction of certain actions, his training in this or that action. The didactic essence of the game is that the child gets the opportunity to act completely independently, and the material with which children work, the properties of which they learn, become the main didactic beginning in the implementation of didactic tasks. It is established that classes are more universal means in solving educational tasks than didactic games. But during the didactic game, the child develops the most important personality traits: arbitrariness of mental processes, inhibition, attention, observation, ingenuity, etc. Requirements for didactic games for preschool children have been identified: a didactic game should contribute to the emergence of interest in children, since productive learning is considered impossible without it; stimulation of the child (it is desirable to build the process of conducting a didactic game by involving the child in competition with other children, which helps stimulate his activity); a didactic game should provide independence in the formation of skills and abilities, promote the search for knowledge, because this is necessary for children's self-education, the formation of the ability to make decisions and think logically; during the didactic game, children should be encouraged for success in various ways, while praise should not be only for winning a speed competition, but, for example, for demonstrating new knowledge, skills and abilities in it, diligence in completing a task, etc.
