PECULIARITIES OF VERBAL BEHAVIOR DEVELOPMENT IN MODERN CONDITIONS: THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS

Abstract

The article provides a theoretical analysis of verbal behavior as a psychological and sociocultural phenomenon. The role of speech in linguistic identification, self-realization, and the harmonization of interpersonal relationships is examined. Various scientific perspectives on verbal behavior highlight its multi-component structure, encompassing both external and internal aspects. The affective component of verbal behavior intensifies during significant or crisis events in an individual's life, which may lead to long-term negative consequences for mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. Under such conditions, transformations in verbal behavior occur, often resulting in deviations from linguistic norms. Particular attention is given to the psychological factors contributing to the disruption of speech normativity during martial law. The article explores the neuropsychological aspects of using obscene vocabulary, noting its increasing prevalence in everyday communication. This trend facilitates the reproduction of undesirable speech patterns among children, who may not fully comprehend the meanings of obscene expressions. The study argues that early adolescence is a critical period for the development of verbal behavior, the formation of communicative skills, and the establishment of stable speech patterns, all of which influence future communication styles. Therefore, fostering constructive forms of verbal behavior is essential for linguistic self-identification, the development of communicative culture, successful socialization, and the prevention of non-normative vocabulary consolidation in adolescents' speech habits. The results of a pilot study strongly indicate the necessity of proactive psychoprophylactic interventions aimed at normalizing adolescents' communication skills, as verbal behavior at this stage remains under adult supervision, non-normative vocabulary has not yet become habitual, and its usage is primarily situational, often occurring in emotionally stressful contexts.
