STREET-ART AS A NEW ARTISTIC PRACTICE IN THE ARCHITECTURAL ENVIRONMENT OF LUTSK

Abstract

The problems of studying Street-art as a new artistic practice are gaining relevant, since their appearance in the urban environment is not any impact on others, and the works of street artists are still little studied, not even systematized. A large number of completely different in style, technique and materials of the street art products makes it incredibly difficult even their primary classification and systematization. In the Ukrainian monumental art of recent decades, it is possible to trace the emergence of a new direction that meets the demands, social status and level of consciousness of customers-mural art and less valuable in the formation of street art philosophy-graffiti. It is noticeable that these drawings occur within some festivals among street artists or city improvement projects. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current trends of the street art as an artistic practice on the example of the architectural environment of Lutsk. The research methodology is accepted. It includes both general scientific methods – analysis, synthesis, interdisciplinary methods – comparison, systematization, and special methods – data collection method, photo fixation.In particular, the method of analysis was used in the consideration of the theoretical foundations of street art in art studies, synthesis-in order to generalize the products of street art as a new practice in the urban environment of Lutsk; comparisonfor determining the signs of street art in the painting-stylistic and technical-technological research, systemic-during the consideration of the works of street art as an integral component of the artistic process; The method of collecting data allowed detailed information on the direct accounting of works of art-review, measurement, deep interviews with respondents on the idea, design and compositional solutions, photo fixation-for the purpose of identifying and verifying the works of Street Art in the architectural environment of Lutsk. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is to distinguish the features of the product of street art in Lutsk and to systematize it by painting and stylistic analysis. Conclusions. The article is devoted to the study and attribution of Street Art products in the urban environment of Lutsk. The attribution was carried out on the basis of comprehensive analysis, both painting-stylistic and technical and technological research. The auxiliary role was played by the interviews of artistic works, as well as source analysis. Famous representatives of such painting among Lutsk artists are Andrey Kingkov, Andriy Prysyazhnyuk, Sergey Radkevich, Andriy Gorbal, Yuri Chaika and others. Painting and stylistic analysis of research made it possible to systematize the products of street art according to the following scheme: 1. Elements of the Street Art with the intention of national identity, representation of the works of ethnoculture. 2.Elements of street art with the intention of urban identity, individual vision of the artist of the environment. 3. Street art elements with the intensity of systematization of global maskult, artists’ appeal to artistic traditions. 4. Street art elements with the intention of systematization of national cultural products that actualize acute social, state problems. The main characteristics of such forms of definition of urban space as «mural-art», «graffiti» are established. An attempt was made to characterize the elements of the street art in the city space of Lutsk. The art of street art is an important part of urban culture, which promotes the development of society, makes its feasible contribution to the decoration of the architectural environment, allows to express social, political and cultural ideas. Artistic and stylistic features of the studied works, namely the nature of modeling of volumes, the rhythmic distribution and sound of the colors of Lutsk Street art is involved in the general trends of Western European monumental painting of modern times. The results obtained are relevant and important for understanding the development of Ukrainian monumental art, they can be used as an example for further systematic study of street art in Ukraine.
